Every album has a story. Sometimes it’s a collection of songs that happen to fit together. Other times, an album takes on a life of its own and begins telling a story you didn’t originally plan to tell.

That’s what happened with THE OTHER SIDE OF THESE WALLS, the newest project currently being produced by the Blue Wave Revival Band.

This album started with a simple question: Why do so many of us feel disconnected from one another?

As we worked on the songs, a theme began to emerge. The songs weren’t really about politics. They weren’t really about current events. They were about neighbors, families, friendships, and community. They were about the walls we build between ourselves and the possibility of finding our way back to each other.

Something else happened during production that surprised all of us.

We paired one of the sweetest male voices in the band with one of the sweetest female voices and started experimenting with harmonies. The first time we heard them singing together, we stopped what we were doing and just listened. There was something special there. Their voices seemed to complement each other perfectly, and before long, those harmonies became one of the defining sounds of the album.

The result is an album that feels warm, personal, and hopeful.
