Still Marching, Still Singing — Until the Madness Ends
Every day, it’s something new. Another lie, another outrage, another MAGA meltdown. With all the shit swirling around Trump and his Republican enablers, it’s like they’re handing us the next verse on a silver platter. As a progressive music band, we never run out of reasons to pick up a guitar, fire up the mic, and belt out the truth. Honestly, that’s the bittersweet part: the inspiration is endless. But the exhaustion? Yeah, that’s real too.
Some days I think, “Damn, will we ever get a break?” Then I remember—our songs are our fight. And until the last Trump tantrum fades from the headlines, until the last fascist flag is folded and packed away with the garbage of history, we at the Blue Wave Revival Band will be here—marching, composing, singing, and standing with you.
Would I trade all this lyrical ammo for a president who isn’t a raging narcissist with a criminal rap sheet longer than one of our setlists? Hell yes. I’d love to go back to writing songs about hope, unity, and a nation moving forward. I know those days will come. But until then, we’ll keep turning outrage into art. Because protest music matters. Because democracy only works if we fight for it.
